Headshot of Tyler Packer

Hi, I'm Tyler. I do the math on whether NAU's sustainability projects pay off.

Northern Arizona University, class of 2027. Flagstaff, Arizona.

I study political science and international affairs at Northern Arizona University, with a certificate in business economics and a minor in Japanese. Most of my work is with NAU's Green Fund, where I build the financial models and impact reports behind student-funded sustainability projects.

The first thing I picked up was the Green Fund's project records. More than 100 funded projects were scattered across files, so I built them into a searchable database with WordPress and TablePress. The committee can now look up what it has paid for and what came of it.

Day to day, I work with departments across NAU's Flagstaff campus to collect, analyze, and present data, so that funding decisions rest on long-term cost projections and line up with NAU's carbon neutrality goals.

Next, I want to join a sustainability-focused company and work on renewable energy and financial modeling, alongside people who get a lot done and hold a high bar.
